While we received so many amazing nominations, we really took our time looking for families where our gift would benefit more than just one or two people.
Gonzalo Reyes is a young, single father of two boys! Lucien and Damian are his whole world! As Gonzalo has them every other week, when they are gone he works as many hours as he can traveling wherever his work requires to bring in enough income! But when he has his boys, he devotes his time to taking them to and from school as well as extracurricular activities and just spending as much one on one time as he can with them! Thank you Gonzalo for trusting us to help you and your family travel safely this Holiday Season!
Robert has been doing everything he can to care for his wife Ruby through hard times! When we called to announce him as a winner, he informed us that his vehicle was no longer running… so instead of a set of tires, Pro Auto Care decided to give him a car!
Robert works hard every day, sometimes traveling as far as Longmont, doing all he can to make the money his family needs. Robert’s wife Ruby is diabetic amongst many other disabilities, which results in her being hospitalized at least twice a month. Ruby had a back surgery last year and had just gotten out of knee surgery the day we announced him as a winner! Robert himself is in need of surgery but works through his pain to support Ruby! We couldn’t think of anyone that deserved a car and a fresh start more than Robert! His family was grateful and all of us at Pro Auto Care feel blessed that we got a chance to help in any way!
Pro Auto Care would like to thank Alexander Mallet for nominating his Uncle John for our Holiday tire Giveaway!
John is 55 years old and was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease when he was just 16 and was placed on full-time dialysis when he was 25. John has now been on dialysis 3 times a week, 4-6 hours at a time, for the last 30 years. Due to complete kidney loss at 25, John was only expected to live another 5 or 10 years! Yet John worked as many years as he could to support his parents and even continued to work after they had passed. 2 years ago work was wearing on John so much that he was forced to use Social Security that he had been refusing since he was first diagnosed. Even after living 3 times longer than expected, John still goes out of his way to show others all the kindness he has in his heart.
Taylor has been through so much in the past few years and Pro Auto Care was so grateful for the chance to spread some much needed happiness and joy with the William’s family!
Taylor’s mother, Nancy, is a smart and powerful women. It became very difficult to watch such an amazing mother and wife struggle with a Meningioma brain tumor. Taylor’s mother had surgery on October 16th and after multiple complications Taylor thankfully let us know that she is starting to show improvement! Tim, Taylor’s father, was able to take some medical leave to watch over his wife but had to return to 60 hour weeks and won’t be able to take more leave until after the first of the year. Taylor has been working his way up in the pipe fitting industry for two years and continues to do all he can to help support his family.
Jerry & Claudia B.
Pro Auto Care is proud to have helped a local couple achieve safe travels during this Holiday Season!
Claudia reached out to Pro Auto Care for help as her and her husband Jerry had recently moved from Delta to Denver chasing a brighter future! Their plan was to buy a van and live in it just long enough to save up the money for a good home! They did buy a van, but since it had most of its original parts, a lot of unexpected work had to be done to maintain the vehicle. Thankfully, Jerry does have enough mechanical background to do most of the work himself, but the money spent on the upkeep has kept them from saving enough. Jerry works as an Iron Worker but the industry slows down when whether hits and it has kept Jerry from having a full week’s pay since November. Claudia herself has been in need of surgery for years but has been putting it off in hopes of finding somewhere stable to work and stay! We know the new set of tires put some much needed joy back into their hearts.
Meeting Judy was such a proud moment for Pro Auto Care as she deserves this for all the care she gives to those around her!
Judy was widowed very early in life as her husband died unexpectedly at age 57 due to a brain aneurysm. And just two short years before this, the couple had lost a son. Judy now cares for two of her grandchildren, she has been for 11 years. After a back injury at her previous job she lives off very little month to month. Pro Auto Care does and always will do everything we can to help support the families of our community!
Michelle sent in a nomination for her husband Chris and it touched all of us Pro Auto Care and we just had to help!
Chris was diagnosed with Chron’s disease when he was just 14 years old. Regardless, Chris worked as hard as he could as an Iron Worker until it began taking too much of a toll on him. Michelle had a stroke in 2004 which cost her the job she loved and left them both fighting for disability. Chris has been married to Michelle for 27 years and when asked about how his disease affects them, Michelle said if anything it makes them stronger as a unit. Chris’s mother had recently passed away and although he cherished his inheritance, he cherishes his life with his wife even more and sold it all so they could move into a better home! Michelle and Chris do all that they can to take care of their two older boys after losing another child as an infant. This family is so incredible and Pro Auto Care is so glad we got to help those that do everything they can to help others!
