Had coupon for an oil change so thought I’d try them out. I usually go to the dealer I bought my car from. When I arrived I was greeted and they checked me in. The guy at counter was nice and friendly. They had nice waiting room and at 0800 in morning there were no other customers, which I thought odd. They changed my oil quickly and I was on my way. A couple things to note. They tried to upsell me on an engine flush because I was 2500 mi over from my last oil change. Well, I get oil changes on reg intervals and I checked the sticker my other shop put in my window and I was over by 1500mi. So, I declined, as the $50 oil change would have been close to $200 with the flush service. Also, they were supposed to top off all fluids and do an inspection. When I checked out there was no mention of that being done. I forgot to ask and only remembered as I was back on the road. And lastly, at my dealer they wash my car every time it’s there, which is a nice service. So, I will probably not return. I tried them out and it was just ok. The upsell kinda turned me off too.
Chris, sounds like your first visit didn’t meet your expectations. We’re sorry about that. I looked into all the information on your ticket. And I’d like to reply On all the things you question. Had you been in the day before you would’ve seen 12 customers come in. The morning you came in there with a break for a couple of hours before all the rest of the cars were dropped off. Secondly, the upsell that you spoke about which was an engine flush. I have been working on vehicles since 1980. My experience has shown me that vehicles that go to long on oil change get sludge, which cause major problems. Your particular engine has a variable cam timing. The number one cause of failure is poor oiling or restricted oil caused by sludge. We are in the business of keeping your car on the road giving you no reason to have to get rid of it and take on a new expense. Yes, the dealer offers lots of frills and fanciness. But someone has to pay for that. We’d rather give you an honest service at a good price. Their warrantee is 12 months 12,000 miles. ours 3 or 36,000 miles. Little bit of a difference. Everything on your car was serviced correctly including all the fluids are topped. You did not provide us an email therefore we could not send you the inspection that was done electronically. Which had photographs of everything. I am here always to talk to and I’m hoping to hear things on how to improve service. Call me anytime during the week and I will make myself available.
